GOING "GREEN"

With the arrival of our little GIRL on the way we are trying to be environmentally friendly with the products on our baby registry. However, many of the these items are not at typical baby stores. Therefore, we have made an online "baby registry" and "wishlist" through Amazon.com. You may view them by clicking on the links to your left.

What is the difference between an Amazon "baby registry" and an Amazon "wishlist"?
The Amazon Baby Registry is like most registries you would print out in a baby store except you don't have to deal with traffic, parking and waiting in lines. You can shop from the privacy of your own home. All of the items on the Amazon baby registry are found on their site and purchased through Amazon. Just "add to cart" the item you would like to purchase and Amazon will keep track of what has been received so there are not duplicates.

Now Amazon carries quite a selection of diverse items, but they did not have everything we were looking for. So for those items that Amazon does not carry they have created the Amazon "wishlist". This is a list that is similar to their baby registry, but the difference is that all of these items are not purchased on Amazon. Instead Amazon will link you directly to the online retailer that carries the item you would like to purchase . Just click the "shop this store" tab and you will automatically be redirected to the appropriate website and page for the item you are interested in. Then follow that website's purchasing instructions.

NOTE: If you decide to purchase an item from the Amazon wishlist, then please click the "Getting this for Kati Yee?" button and reserve this gift before getting redirected to the online retailer. This will allow Amazon to keep track of what has been purchased so there are not duplicates.

If you prefer going to an actual brick and mortar retail location, then we have also registered at a store called Giggle. They carry a decent selection of "green" baby products. In Northern California there is a convenient location at 1359 North Main Street - Walnut Creek, CA 94596. In Southern California the only location is at 517 South Lake Avenue - Pasadena, CA 91101. If neither locations are convenient for you then you may also purchase from their website (the registry link is on the left).

RUNNING LATE?
If you wanted to order an item off of one of the online registries but the gift will not arrive in time for the shower, then feel free to just print a picture of the item you purchased to bring to the shower and have the actual gift sent directly to our house. That way you can help the environment by not wasting wrapping paper and it's easy for you as well. Otherwise, gift cards or cash are always welcome. I know those aren't as fun to give but they do allow us to purchase the items we really need.

  1. I hope you get all the things you need for the new baby. A great place to do an online baby registry is JC Penny. They have great stuff and will ship right to you. Happy wishes
